The laptops which will be issued to most MS teachers, in preparation for 1 to 1 next school year, will be ready in the first week after the Winter break. They are now in school but were not received as promptly as we had hoped. The laptops will be distributed during the second part of the Upper School meeting on Wednesday 7 January 2015. At the meeting, some initial advice and training will be given, as well as details about the PD programme which will help teachers to master their new tool.
Then we can look forward to a half-year of getting used to using the machines before 1 to 1 @ ISL begins in August 2015. Hopefully that will involve many colleagues trying out some new things in the classroom even before the MS is 1 to 1.
